Ode to Hong Kong

air deeps breathing my smog-filled soul,
as clouds, incense-bound, hover transitory,
incycling, ever deafening, wind-swept
ovaries of destruction, negotiated wildly
mongst towers carnivorous, incestuous peak
exploiting phosphorescent grovesides
willy-nilly, beamedd excruciation swelling,
churned the figures - autonomous corruption:

- we're only human - what can we do?

exoneration cosmic, pre-ordained by
particles post primordial, cry aloft

climaxial, orgasmic, internecine conflict
drowned depths of tears of joy of
unabridging wider streaming
clowns, indulgent breeding bowl of
nighter dreams repungent now in
calming strands,
shoring wings,
hurled founding furies leapt so far

so far, so far, so far so good,
so good, so good, so good you say,
you say you say you say you
say recursively discovering dreams,
o dreaming lost o lost o honorific strobe.
You burnt so strongly, quenching.

- The curlew on her bracken throne sings soberly
- of silver chaliced anthems, browned ere
- nested golden prophecies, soft sealed long hence.

Yellowed aging clones the darkened dawn springs
helpless, openly beatifying that which is and was, is
yet to be and cannot be, in being that which still,
wherever, when the knot of nots in every haul
comes drawn, born hapless being now.
