2) "Where have you been?"

A simple one-way speaking activity starts the Chapter. Discussion can result from this questionnaire, but the main aim is to "set the scene" for the following activities.

3) "Travel in Korea" 
Pairs - Whole Class
25 minutes

Students in pairs write the names of Provinces, Cities, National Parks, Temples, Mountains, and Beaches, on the map in their books. They then individually choose one of each and ask members of the class if they have been to those places. As well as the questioning which occurs in this activity, it would be good if all comments about names and locations of landmarks could be done in English.

North, South, East, West.
