HINTS and TIPS:

In this test, you will have a chance to speak naturally. Please be as natural as possible. You are friends meeting at a restaurant and having a meal together. Then you will simply sit and have a conversation together.

The examiner will be looking for Range, Fluency, Delivery, Attitude, and Interaction. When one person is talking in the conversation, the others should be using body language, conversation markers ("Mmm",¡°Uh-huh", "Oh?"), and other checking strategies, to make the conversation interesting: ¡°Really?¡±, "Tell us more¡±, "What did you say?¡±, "What happened next?¡±,"That's a good idea", ¡°I'd love to, but I'm busy",¡°That's interesting¡±, etc.

Also - NOTES:
a) The cards presented here are just SUGGESTIONS. You can talk about other topics. In fact, it would be better if YOU came up with YOUR OWN IDEAS. Expand on what you have learned in class.
b) You can bring your own MENU, or use the one here, on the Internet.
c) Practice ahead of time. Determine who will be the waiter, etc. Here's a hint: make it fun. Make up your own role-play!

Remember - this test is based on the textbook. If you want to do well in the test, the best way is to go to class every week, join in the activities, and have a good time!
