Whole class |
| Rationale: |
Project rehearsal. |
| Method: |
Students rehearse whatever they
have produced so far. This can be a good time for teacher-input
on many topics (linguistic, dramatic, grammatical,
counseling, etc.) |

95. "A Letter to Myself" -
Homework:
| Materials: |
Student's
book (click here to

| Students: |
Singly |
| Rationale: |
Self-assessment;
student record; reminder of learning goals |
| Method: |
Each student writes a letter to
him/herself. Having given this to the teacher,
the student will receive it a year later (when
they will no longer be on the language Program).
This will be a good time to look back on what the student was
thinking when writing the letter, and perhaps to re-evaluate
events that have happened during that year. It could be that students
will want to re-assess their situation.
It could be that it will simply be interesting! |
| Notes: |
Students should supply their own
paper and envelopes for this activity, since they are giving themselves
a personal message!
Students give this letter to the teacher in the Final Evaluation
Session. The teacher can then either file the letters away for
a year, or can give them to administration personnel to deal with.
If the teacher takes this on however, it can be an interesting
experience to send these out a year later and to be reminded of
the students. |
