| Rationale: | Data collection; reading for key words; skimming for information |
| Method: | Newspaper pages are put on the walls, or on tables. Students read them, looking for information requested on their question sheets (Student book). If an element of competition is introduced, students can be encouraged to look for the information at speed. |
| Notes: | The questions were designed for a Korean English-newspaper. If the teacher wants to use an International newspaper, then the questions need to be modified. |

| Method: | Students rehearse whatever they have produced so far. If they have not prepared any items yet, they can rehearse an activity in the book |
