Warm-ups (Lessons 2 & 3)

 

"Match the Adverb" (Lesson 2) Groups:

 The teacher will give us some "Adverb" cards.
l         
Put the cards on the table, face down (Korean, English).
l         
Play "Match" (find the matching Korean/English words).
(If you need help, look in the Dictionary – page 203.)

l          [Version 1: leave the cards face up on the table.]
l         
[Version 2: return the cards face down if they do not match.]
l         
Write the English words on the back of the Korean cards.
l         
Write the Korean words on the back of the English cards.
l         
Write new words in "My Project Notes", page 108.

"Just do it!" (Lesson 2) Groups: (Same cards)

1.        Student 1: Choose one card.
2.        Stand up and sit down according to the word on the card (happily, sadly, quickly, etc.).

l          Student 1: "My sister's dog is a happy dog."

"Let's shake!" (Lesson 3) Groups: "Adverbs" cards

 
 

 

l          The teacher gives students cards as they come into the room.
l         
Each card has an adverb on it (English or Korean).
l         
Students each find a partner.
l         
Students shake hands according to the adverb.
l         
Students find a new partner ・・・・・・・・. Etc. 

Each student should shake hands with every other student.
Students should try to guess the adverbs, before departing.
Adverbs that can't be guessed should be explained (page 180).
