Here is an interview with Elvis Presley.
This Interview was on September 22nd, 1958.

3.      Fill in Elvis¡¯s words on this sheet.
4.      Check the interview on page 188.

 

Elvis: Rock and roll _ _ _ _ _ , if you _ _ _ _ it, and if you _ _ _ _ it, you can¡¯t help but _ _ _ _ to it. That¡¯s what _ _ _ _ _ _ _ to me. I can¡¯t _ _ _ _ it, I mean I have to _ _ _ _ around. I can¡¯t _ _ _ _ _ still. I¡¯ve tried it, and I _ _ _ ¡¯ _  do it.

Interviewer: Well do you feel that you¡¯ve been very lucky, or do you feel that you do have a talent that most of the other people you meet don¡¯t have?

Groups:  Materials: a paper ball, or other light article
 (something that won¡¯t break windows!)

  •  Look at the ¡°Feelings¡± words in the ¡°Study Bank¡± (page 181).

  • Student 1: Say a ¡°feelings¡± word and throw the ball to Student 2.

  • Student 2: Say a ¡°feelings¡± word and throw the ball to Student 3.

  • Student 3: Say a ¡°feelings¡± word and throw the ball to Student 1.

  • Etc. .......

  • When a student can¡¯t say a word, that student loses one point.

  • Words can¡¯t be repeated!
