Teacher notes:

The activities for this session presume that all students have the Workbook, even though one of the activities is not in the Workbook.

l        Pre-Project Survey: This activity prepares students for the Presentation section (Weeks 5 – 12) by encouraging them to begin thinking about data collection methods. Students decide on a survey topic, make 10 relevant questions, and then conduct a survey. Finally, students pool their findings and report them at the bottom of the page. These findings are used in the following activity (Delivery). This activity can take some time, and provides the teacher with the opportunity to sit down with each group. It is OK if groups take all lesson on this activity, but those who do finish can move on to Delivery. As with other activities in this book, students are encouraged to go at their own pace. There is no need for all students to finish all activities.
l        Me-bag (preparation) Remind students to bring a Me-bag to class next lesson.
