Teacher notes:

l        Students work autonomously on Project Packs for this session, in preparation for the second part of the program. It is important that students be allowed to follow the instructions in the Student Workbook, and to explore the Project Packs. There is no recommended sequence of activities for these packs. Students should be encouraged to explore, and to attempt the activities they find interesting. This gives the teacher an opportunity to engage on a one-to-one basis, talking to students when appropriate, and offering help when appropriate.

l        Learning Skills Awareness Checklist: This is a valuable awareness-raising and as a vocabulary activity, though not part of the formal evaluation, as with other self-assessment instruments in this program.
