If you miss a class, you lose attendance marks and participation marks. Attendance and participation are extremely important, since this is a performance-based workshop-style class, and attendance and participation represent 25% of the marks.

You can make-up your lost marks by doing a make-up assignment. You can also improveyour participation records by doing extra work at any time.

• Here is a list of suggestions for extra assignments. Print out this list and put it in your portfolio.
• Each suggestion makes up for one lesson (75 minutes) of attendance and participation.
• Showyour work to the professor when you do extra work
• Enter your new attendance/participation mark in the Class Journal.
• Put your make-up assignment in your portfolio. Give it a title such as "Make-up Assignment for the lesson of ____ ____, 2004."
