This is an adaptation of page 286 in U2U, Student Workbook.

If you miss class, you lose attendance marks and participation marks. Attendance and participation are extremely important, since this is a performance-based workshop-style class, and attendance and participation make 40% of the marks.

However, you can make-up your lost marks by doing a make-up assignment. You can also improve your participation records by doing extra work at any time.

  • This (below) is a list of suggestions to consider when deciding on your extra assignments.
  • Each suggestion makes up for one week (2-hours) of attendance and participation.
  • Always show your work to the teacher when you do extra work.
