Teacher notes:

  • Pair-assessed Conversation Students continue to develop their conversation skills while becoming aware of component parts of those skills. These assessments are marked in the charts in the Student Workbook, but they do not count towards grading. They are informational – informing the students of growth in conversational skills and in awareness of those skills. Completion of the charts is part of the definition of a “well-used” Workbook.
  • Participation Self-assessment A note appears to the students at the bottom of page 26 of the Workbook. Students assess their participation to date, and mark this assessment in the Class Journal (in the column headed “2nd). The Class Journal needs to be circulated during this (and the next) lesson for this to occur.
