This
course consists of a weekly 2-hour workshop session, for
16 weeks.
Course members will
investigate different aspects of materials design from 5 perspectives:
Assignments:
(Members
will work on student-centered, task-based assignments each week, either
individually, in pairs, or in groups)
Theory
(Nunan DTCC; analysis of textbooks; discussion of pedagogic concepts).
Practice
(Finch TMM CD-ROM; performance and analysis of representative,
task-based, student-centred language learning materials).
Design:
(discussion and design of EFL teaching/learning materials).
Assessment:
(Members
will perform continuous assessment of themselves and of their peers.
This assesswent wil be authentic and criterion-referenced (absolute,
not relative).
Weekly
Class Lessons are workshop-style, interactive sessions. Course members
