The Importance of a Book

-Reading the book, suffering the young Werthers
(ÀþÀº º£¸£Æ®¸£ÀÇ ½½ÇÄ)

A few weeks ago, I read a book called suffering the young Werthers (ÀþÀº º£¸£Æ®¸£ÀÇ ½½ÇÄ in Korean)to prepare my presentation for a German literature class. Though I was told many times that the book is very popular in the world, I simply thought that that probably wouldn¡¯t influence on me a lot. However, that was just definitely my wrong preconception.

How awesome it is!

 I couldn¡¯t help concentrating on reading it because the love story was great as well as very passionate. It¡¯s absolutely incredible to realize how human's emotions generate complicated feelings between a man and a woman. I felt like my soul was getting become pure while I was reading the book. I actually don¡¯t want to tell you about the story of the book. It would not be very interesting if I mentioned to you in advance. I tell you it¡¯s just a great novel

 Even after reading it, in my mind, there are still some unforgettable and impressive pieces of his writing. I hope that those things remain in my mind forever and will not only help to lead me towards happy life, but they¡¯ll also give me strong strength of awareness as long as I live.

 I just tried to translate in English one letter in the novel.

August 22nd.

I am unhappy! Wilhelm! My vitality was so spiritless, and uncomfortable, lazy habit came to me. ¡¦¡¦, I have no more imagination and can¡¯t feel the enjoyment of nature, it¡¯s likely that human being loses everything when he/she loses his/her self-ego

Have you read any books recently? Its fine whether its interesting or difficult.

An important thing is simply that we read books or do not.Unfortunately the great numbers of people today are unlikely to read books because of their busy time schedule. I think it is perhaps just their plausible excuses.

Is it so hard for you to make even a half an hour to sit on the desk for reading? Probably it isn¡¯t, is it? So it¡¯s proper time to start reading books now.

Let¡¯s think about it. It¡¯s quite interesting and even more amazing that our wisdoms usually come from the strength of awareness through a lot of readings. We might have such an experience especially when we had a difficulty with something urgent, unexpectedly our immediate, brilliant and wise idea often comes from the books we had read.

So, it¡¯s time for us to attempt to make time to read no matter what our lives seem to be very busy. If you agree with me, do NOW.
